What an amazing couple. First off, from the first time I met Melissa and Andy I knew I wanted to shoot their wedding. They are the most kind and friendly people. Also, I could see it in their eyes that they had a deep bond and were truly in love. On their wedding day unfortunately they had probably one of the worst days of weather. From the moment I got there it just down poured. I mean MONSOON! But, Melissa put on a happy face, and it didn’t matter, she was marrying her best friend of 10 + years. With a great attitude we really turned a crummy day into a fun one. I told Melissa to bring along her rain boots cause we were going to be going outside at some point in the day! And she was all for it!
I am glad we did because we got some really cute and special pics of the two of them. There is something really romantic about a bride & groom in the rain with an umbrella…priceless!
Anyways, the wedding was beautiful and the day turned out great. I cried a couple times, but the worst was when Melissa’s sister read her speech! Wow…It was funny and heartfelt. My favorite part, which summed up everything I felt and noticed about Melissa & Andy was when she concluded her speech with…”Melissa and Andy, you have become the prototype. You have set the bar for what a strong marriage is. May we all find a love as true, as strong, as fulfilling, as romantic, and as endless as yours!”
