jacoby is 3 months!!

I am so excited to be doing the “baby plan” for Katie and Zach. Jacoby is such a funny little character and such a cute baby. I look forward to capturing him as he gets older. I think the “baby plan” is such a great way to show a child’s growth. I can start shooting at either newborn or 3 months and then the next few shoots are 6, 9, and 12 months. So, this gives me an opportunity to really show how the child changes and matures. As the baby grows I aim to capture not only their little features that change, but also their personality as it develops.

I know how quickly they can grow up so I feel lucky to capture those special moments for their parents.

Well, this was my last wedding of 2009. It was a fun one and a unique one being that it was in Newport, RI in December! Brrrrr! It was also the night before the big storm. I was definitely racing the storm on my way home. It was pretty scary, but I am glad I got home safely. Anyways, Sascha and Mark were a delight to work with. They are such a sweet couple and their bridal party was great too! Also, it was fun to work a wedding that was mostly Franklin people, since I am a newbie to the town. It is great to meet new people that I didn’t even know lived right down the street from me!

A much needed post!

Hey everyone! Sorry for my blog getting a little boring. This wedding season has been a great one, but a BUSY one! I have been so busy editing and designing albums I haven’t been able to post some of the weddings that I shot toward the end of 2009.

Congrats to all my couples! I wish you much luck and many years of happiness as you start the new year off as newlyweds!!

**p.s. in the next week or two i will be posting my last wedding of the season. it was a beautiful wedding in Newport! Burrr! Also, I have an adorable baby portrait to share so keep in touch!**

What a beautiful wedding and a BEAUTIFUL couple. The wedding was held at the Langham Hotel in Boston on October 31st! …I know, Halloween!

I had never shot a wedding on Halloween, but it was really cute. They had a bag of candy for favors, and a bunch of pumpkins carved and placed around the reception. It was a classy way to decorate a Halloween wedding! To view more pictures click on this link… jennifer + james

Melissa + Andy

What an amazing couple. First off, from the first time I met Melissa and Andy I knew I wanted to shoot their wedding. They are the most kind and friendly people. Also, I could see it in their eyes that they had a deep bond and were truly in love. On their wedding day unfortunately they had probably one of the worst days of weather. From the moment I got there it just down poured. I mean MONSOON! But, Melissa put on a happy face, and it didn’t matter, she was marrying her best friend of 10 + years. With a great attitude we really turned a crummy day into a fun one. I told Melissa to bring along her rain boots cause we were going to be going outside at some point in the day! And she was all for it!

I am glad we did because we got some really cute and special pics of the two of them. There is something really romantic about a bride & groom in the rain with an umbrella…priceless!

Anyways, the wedding was beautiful and the day turned out great. I cried a couple times, but the worst was when Melissa’s sister read her speech! Wow…It was funny and heartfelt. My favorite part, which summed up everything I felt and noticed about Melissa & Andy was when she concluded her speech with…”Melissa and Andy, you have become the prototype. You have set the bar for what a strong marriage is. May we all find a love as true, as strong, as fulfilling, as romantic, and as endless as yours!”

Well put!

Congratulations Melissa & Andy! I wish you a lifetime of happiness.

My “little guy”

Everyday I go to work in my office at home and my little buddy sleeps at my feet, patiently with no complaints. Today I noticed there was a moment of sun that came through the window, so I decided to take a break and capture a few images of him. It’s funny…the other day someone asked me if I have a lot of photos of Arthur, but believe it or not I actually don’t. Not sure why, but I guess I am spending more time capturing everyone else, I rarely photograph things in my own life. Anyways, I am glad I grabbed my camera, because now I can say I have some really great photos of him!
